Baby Oh Baby

Am I done yet?

I had a doctor's appt on Monday and I had to have this glucose test done. I drank this really nasty syrup and then they took my blood. Then after I leave the doctor's office they call to tell me I have to come back in before Friday to get my RH- shot. So yesterday I go in after work to get it and since I was there got my H1N1 vaccine too. I got blood drawn, shot in the arm and shot in the hip. OUCH! The RH- shot hurt SO bad. I think it is the worst shot I've ever gotten. It stung and you could feel the liquid moving. Then it hurt all day and I couldn't sit even though I was really tired. It's a bummer....

Gotta love the stupid ones...

At work yesterday I waited on these two girls who were about 23-24 years old. They were actually another servers table but she asked me to take them because she knew one of the girls so I did. They were really nice and pretty easy to wait on. I gave them boxes and their check and the next thing I know they are running out. They dined-and-dashed! We called the cops and my co-worker gave them her name and I told them what happened.

This morning a detective met me at work and I looked up a photo line-up and had to pick out the girl. I did and that afternoon they found her and arrested her for theft. After that either her husband or the other girl's husband came in to pay their $20 bill which by then was too late! How stupid you gotta be?!

Surgery....

Longest day of our lives....so Andy finally got to have his foot surgery yesterday. The hospital paid for it which is why he got to do it. We needed him to be recovered too before the baby came. He got his left foot operated on and they took out the dead bone that was dying and replaced it with synthetic stuff and fused 3 bones together then covered it with a plate and screws. He has to have a pain pump for 5 days and stay off of it competely for 6-8 weeks. No weight or it will undo everything. It'll be fun...NOT!

We got at the hospital at 9am and he didn't even go into surgery until 11:30am because the doctor's first surgery went longer than expected. Then the doctor got called to an emergency when he was supposed to consult with me and then I didn't get to see Andy until 2ish and we didn't leave until almost 3:30pm. But all went well so Andy should recover and be pain free once all is healed. Thank goodness! :D

7 years

Every year for our anniversary Andy and I go take a drive up the canyon and the dam to look at all the fall colors and explore. Usually the dam is empty enough to walk out and find people's lost items, but not this year. Pineview was completely full. I can't believe that next week (October 5th) Andy and I will have been together for 7 years! Granted this is no longer our anniversary, but hey it still counts for something.

I also got my first flu shot today. Never had one before...at least not to my knowledge and my arm is so sore. It's hard to move and feels super bruised. Shot felt like nothing and now it is giving me the pain. Grrrr....

The News

We think it is time to reveal our little secret to everyone...Andy and I are having a baby! Most family members know now and some friends, but I honestly haven't been getting the best reaction from everyone therefore decided not to announce it to the world. I've gotten some very mean jokes and comments which haven't made it easy telling anyone else. Especially when some of those people are my family members. We weren't planning on having a baby so soon, but oh well. We wanted some eventually! So please if you have nothing nice to say to me about it then don't say it (to me at least). :D

The married life...

It has been a little over a month now since we got married. We are leaving in the basement of my (Jamie's) parents' house. We've decided to have Andy get his foot surgery that he really needs and during his recovery will be going back to school to finish his machining degree at the OWATC. He may even have a job lined up at an auto shop when he can walk and stand for a long period of time which would be nice! I'll continue working so that why Andy is recovering I can cover the bills...lucky me! Good news is that the hospital is writing off the surgery so we don't have to pay a cent which is HUGE. Thanks McKay Dee! :D

I'm still stressing out about everything though. We bought parts for Andy's car and I'm not sure his car is going to last much longer. It's not worth putting more money it so at this point we are just going to see what happens since we can't afford to buy a new car. Don't ever buy a Ford.
